Bandai, the Playdia's manufacturer, was the only software publisher to support this console (except for VAP who published Ie Naki Ko - Suzu no Sentaku instead of Bandai). The games were extremely influenced by Anime and had huge FMV sequences and played through as if you were playing an interactive anime. The system was a failure and didn't last for very long after the release of the Sony Playstation. The Bandai Playdia was released only in Japan in 1994.
